Sue has lived in Matlock over 40 years. She retired from Highfields School 6 years ago, after working there for 25 years. She is married to Martin, and has two grown up daughters.

She was elected to Matlock Town Council and to Derbyshire Dales District Council in 2003, and served as Mayor of Matlock in 2006/7.

Sue is a member of Matlock-Eaubonne Twinning Association, Matlock in Bloom and a Matlock Station Adopter.

“During my time on the Town Council and District Council, I have always endeavoured to represent the views of my constituents, keeping them informed and I try to be a link between the Council and the often complicated procedures of local government.

Matlock is a wonderful place to live of which we are justifiably proud!
