One of the Council’s strategic aims is to promote a strong and active community by developing links with local businesses, schools, community groups and organisations. The Council aims to engage with partners to further the development of community events and projects that enhance the town.

Further Community Support

There are a number of organisations who offer advice and support for voluntary & community organisations.

Derbyshire Dales Council for Voluntary Service www.ddcvs.org.uk, support, promote and develop local voluntary and community action. DDCVS offers local groups access to facilities such as equipment loan and hire; encourages networking between individuals and groups. They also have access to information to help identify possible funding for your project.
