The Mayor

The Mayor of Matlock for 2025-2026 is Councillor Marilyn Franks.

The Mayor is the Chair of the Council and chairs the monthly Council meetings. They attend functions and meetings on behalf of the Council and the Town in an official capacity.

The Mayor traditionally raises funds for their chosen charity or charities throughout their term of office. Events of this nature can be extremely diverse and in the past have included charity lunches, sponsored rock climbing, race evenings and sponsored walks.
